Kids Ministry Programs

Below you will find up-to-date information on the current programs offered within our Kids Ministry, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact Gaye Root, Kid's Ministry Director -  kids@coastaloakschurch.org or call the church office (361)729-5320

  • We offer Sunday childcare for babies 0-3 years old during the 9:00 AM & 10:30 AM service. Our part time nursery worker Chyrl Durlingalongside our rotating volunteers/children's missionaries will always be there to greet your little one, teach them about Jesus, and happily snuggle them while you get spiritually fed in the church service.

    • We take safety very seriously at Coastal Oaks and every volunteer serving in the Kids Ministry is background checked.
  • Our current Kid's Church curriculum (birth-5th grade) is the Gospel Project written and published by Lifeway. The Gospel Project is a weekly Bible study that helps kids dive deep into the big story of the Bible—God’s plan to rescue His people through His Son, Jesus Christ.

**Please sign your children in at the Kids Ministry Sign-In Desk BEFORE you head into service with them **

Kid's Church begins after the singing portion of our 10:30 worship service. Kids are encouraged to sit with their families and praise the Lord until they are dismissed from the Worship Center - a teacher will be there to lead them out to their classrooms in the Kids Wing. Kids Church concludes at the end of the 10:30 service.

If you will be attending a 10:30 Life Group and need an adult to sit with your child during the singing portion of the service we will have a teacher available to do so, please just let the person at the sign-in desk know that you will need this service and we will take care of it.

A few key features of our Sunday curriculum are:

    • The focus on Jesus: Helps kids see how the whole Bible points to Jesus and the gospel.
    • It connects the dots: the chronological study plan unites the big story and themes of Scripture.
    • Living the story: Helps kids make real-life decisions based on gospel-soaked discipleship.
    • Interactive & engaging: Fun extras like art, videos, music & activities keep your kids engaged every week.

  • CentriKid is our camp this year for completed 3rd- completed 5th grades, hosted in Trinity Pines, TX July 14-18 and I’m super excited! At CentriKid 2025, kids will discover what it means to live out our calling through the adventure of following Christ! CentriKid website
